Amy Cronin, APR
Board Co-Chair; PRSA member since 1987

Amy CroninWhat is your job title, and where do you work?
Executive Director, New York Six Liberal Arts Consortium. I'm officially a Hamilton College employee, as it is the administrator of the group.

What do you enjoy about working in public relations?
For much of my career, my positions have been PR-adjacent, not directly in PR. But the through-line for me is my love of writing - features that tell the story of people, crafting talking points, writing annual reports...all of it.

Are there any PR trends that you are excited about?
I'm not sure "excited" is the word, but I am interested in the ways AI can make some of our work more efficient. And I am intrigued by the swift rise of independent journalism and how it will impact how we engage with our audiences on major issues.

What’s your go-to book, TV series, or podcast that you recommend to friends?
Recent favorite reads
: beach reads by Emily Henry, The Women by Kristin Hanna, the Cal Hooper books by Tana French, God of the Woods by Liz Moore.

TV series: I mostly watch sports, currently the Boston Red Sox (for better or worse), but we just started The Studio.

PodcastNorth Country Public Radio's Story of the Day.

It’s the weekend! What are you doing for fun?
Depends on the season! Fall: watching SU football and the Bills. Winter: making soups and stews and snowshoeing. Spring: do we even have spring? Let's just move on to Summer, when we spend most weekends at our camp in the Adirondacks.
