PRSSA Chapters in Central New York

PRSA-CNY serves as a professional liaison to PRSSA Chapters in Central New York, providing guidance to students at SUNY Oswego and Syracuse University. Our members are committed to partnering with students and faculty to enhance learning opportunities and provide practical application of public relations to complement the classroom experience. As such, each academic year a student representative is named to the PRSA-CNY Board of Directors. PRSSA students are invited to attend chapter programs, and chapter members may attend or participate in PRSSA guest lectures or workshops. More about PRSSA is available here.

The SUNY Oswego Chapter of PRSSA was established on the SUNY Oswego campus to get students with a strong interest for Public Relations involved in PR related activities on campus and within the Oswego community. We strive to allow all students interested in PR the opportunity to learn more about the industry, receive tactical experience and network with professionals.

With a membership of over 200 students, Syracuse University's PRSSA Chapter furthers the mission of PRSA by coordinating speakers, programs, and events that spark all members’ interests. The chapter has three main focus areas: professional development, curriculum enrichment, and reputation management.
